Fire Prevention Event Dishes Out Smoke Detectors and Pizza

The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District teamed up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Domino's Pizza of Lisle to deliver pizzas and promote fire safety.  Those who ordered a pizza between 4:30-6:30pm on Tuesday, October 8 had the chance to be randomly selected to have their pizza delivered via fire engine. If the smoke detectors in the home were working, the pizza was free. If the smoke detectors were not working, the firefighters installed new ones or replaced the batteries.
