Town/Gown Fire Safety Community Service Project a Success in Lisle

The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District partnered with the Benedictine University Men's Soccer Team for the Town/Gown Fire Safety Community Service Project. Together, they installed a total of 77 smoke detectors in 12 different homes in the community thanks to support from First Alert, Illinois Fire Safety Alliance, Campus Firewatch, Minger Foundation, and Benedictine University. September is National Campus Fire Safety Month. After an in-service, the team took to the streets to do home safety visits and install donated smoke detectors in an effort to help ensure the long-term safety of our residents from fires.
