Reports/Brainstorming/Discussion

In an effort to reorganize the Woodridge Community Wellness Council to better serve our community, a discussion was led to select topics on which to begin our focus for this year. Health and wellness issues impacting the Village of Woodridge in DuPage County were the springboard from which the discussion started.  Topics were brainstormed from council members and from information given at the Woodridge Town Meeting. It was determined that having subcommittees to work on the selected issues would be helpful. Subcommittees could meet on an “as needed” basis between WCWC meetings. The four WCWC Subcommittee topics are:

WCWC  Resources, Diversity, Health and Substance Abuse.

All WCWC members need to select a committee to which they can contribute.

Committee chairs are:

WCWC Resources, Jill Marten

Cultural Diversity, Bridget Johnson and Rebecca Chin

Health, Ruth Jacobs and Roger Schmith

Substance Abuse, Shari Johnson

Subcommittee meeting dates will be posted in the near future.
