Hazardous Materials Response Team
The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District Hazardous Materials Response Team shall advise and assist the Incident Commander at a hazardous materials incident by employing our technician-level skills to perform definitive identification, isolation, and notification information at all incidents we respond to. Given the amount of interstates, truck routes, highways, railroads, intermodal transportation systems, and pipelines, the potential for an incident, large or small, is always present. On average, literally tons of hazardous materials are transported through the District at any given time of the day.
It is said that in life, change is one of the few constants. The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District Hazardous Materials Response Team has been evolving long before the events of September 11, 2001. That day brought about a realization to the American public as well as the emergency services. The horrible reality of domestic terrorism is a very real threat to America.
We exist for one reason, and that is to serve you, the residents of the District.
We would like to thank you for all of your support over the years.
