Fire Prevention Week October 4-10, 2009

Fire Prevention Week is October 4-10, 2009.

The Annual Awards Ceremony will be held at Station 1 on Thursday, October 8, at 6:00 pm. Annual awards may include Firefighter of the Year, awards of Valor, Merit, Commendation, Citations as well as awards to the Public for acts performed in service to our fellow human being and service to the Fire District.

The Silent Parade will be held on Friday October 9. It will travel on Maple Avenue from Hinsdale beginning at 6:30 P.M. and travel through Lisle around 7:15 P.M. There will be a short service at Trinity Lutheran Church (1101 Kimberly Way) following the parade.

A Community Open House will be held at all five Lisle-Woodridge stations this year on Saturday, October 10. Residents can visit the station in their neighborhood from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
