- Structure Fire 4416 Kingston Avenue
At 4:18 P.M. on Monday, December 14 2009, the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District was notified of a single-family structure fire and was dispatched to 4416 Kingston Avenue, Lisle.
A General Alarm assignment was immediately dispatched sending four (4) engines, two (2) ladder trucks, two (2) medic unites, and Command Team to the scene, for a minimum of 25 Lisle-Woodridge Fire District personnel.
The first unit arrived on the scene at 4:23 P.M. and reported heavy smoke.
The fire was under control approximately 60 minutes after the Fire District’s arrival; however units remained on the scene until approximately 09:35 hours performing salvage duties and overhauling the burned areas of the structure. The building was determined to be uninhabitable. The occupants are making their own arrangements for lodging with assistance from the Fire District.
Lisle-Woodridge Fire District units were assisted on the scene by the Downers Grove and Naperville Fire Departments. Additional companies from these and other departments provided coverage at Lisle-Woodridge Fire District stations that were vacated to fight the fire.
The alarm was struck out at approximately 4:50 P.M.
