Fire Prevention Bureau |
|
The Fire Prevention Bureau plays a key role in our Fire
Protection District and is responsible for many aspects of public safety
including, but not limited to: code enforcement, inspections, fire suppression
and detection systems, and plan review. Fire prevention, life safety, and public
education - including on and off site programs, classes, tours and events
(i.e. Fire Prevention Week) are also administered by the Fire Prevention
Bureau.
The Bureau’s responsibility is to improve internal and
external communications and outreach to our citizens and other community
organizations. Juvenile Firesetters, Senior Volunteers, and a highly progressive
Fire Investigations Unit are also under the auspices of the Bureau.
The Fire Prevention Bureau is proud to take a pro-active
approach to making this a safer community and we know a minute of Fire
Prevention can save many hours of fire suppression.
The Fire Prevention Bureau Staff invites you to stop by our
office, visit and see for yourself what we do. We are located at 3101 Woodridge
Drive in Woodridge and should you have any questions, our telephone number is
630-353-3030.
